The polyethylene employed for packaging our Ecoplus-line products results from up to 100% recycled polymers, which qualifies our end product as being fully sustainable.
This type of recycled polymer fully maintains its original technical features while at the same making a huge difference in terms of both fossil resource conservation and water as well as air pollution curbing.

Eco-Friendly toilet paper is a biodegradable, clean and environmentally-friendly product. A few decades ago, environmental awareness reared its head quite forcibly in our society, and environmentally-friendly toilet paper has taken on a role of considerable importance in this environmental care movement, as it is a product in extremely high demand. It is estimated, in fact, that every Italian consumes an average of 4 kg of toilet paper a year and that the annual turnover of the European toilet paper industry is around €8.5 billion.
daina is a toilet paper manufacturer with a great focus on environmental issues. To this end, we have decided to support the procurement of raw materials derived from wood from sustainably-managed forests, as well as to raise awareness amongst our customers regarding the use of end products made using these materials. Our Ecoplus line has Chain of Custody – CoC – certification which guarantees the traceability of materials from forests certified by the FSC – the international non-governmental, independent and non-profit organisation set up in 1993 to promote the responsible management of forests and plantations – which is an essential requirement in order to be able to affix FSC® labels to our products. Ultimately, this certification provides correct, transparent and controlled evidence of our active contribution to responsible forest management.

daina Ecoplus Recycled Toilet Paper:
the countless benefits of the recycling process.
Recycled toilet paper gets its name from the fact that it is a product made from recycling paper that has already been used. This process brings with it countless advantages, including, in particular:
- A reduction in wood consumption: thanks to the distinctive property of cellulose, which can be used several times to produce paper, we can replace virgin cellulose fibres taken directly from trees with recycled fibres, obtained from the same reused paper – for almost all types of manufacturing. The production of recycled paper, therefore, works towards the goal of taking greater care of forests and reducing deforestation because, to quote a Native American saying, “The trees are the pillars of the world; when the last trees are cut down, the sky will fall upon us”;
- A substantial reduction in the quantities of material to be sent to landfills. We actually reuse cellulose recovered from industrial processes, with a consequent benefit when it comes to waste disposal;
- Energy saving: by using waste paper as raw materials for the production of recycled toilet paper, we contribute to saving all the energy needed to convert wood into fibres suitable for use as paper.
In addition, an even more distinctive feature of daina environmentally-friendly toilet paper is that it is a water-soluble toilet paper, which breaks down extremely quickly, given its high level of natural biodegradability.
